In this frequently requested video, I show you all of my tips and tricks for Konad stamping successfully. If you're new to Konad you might find the basic how-to very helpful in getting started. I also go over what can and cannot be used as a stamping polish, as well as how to do double-color stamping and selective stamping.

  6. Hi Asami, I'd have to say this is one of the best Konad stamping tutorials I've seen. Pity I have to get ready for work now, so in the mood to stamp! ;) Thanks for a clear and informative tutorial. Brilliant :)

I wish someone told me about the silver konad polish before I actually bought the thing....

Great video. I just ordered my first konad plate a few days ago and was pretty nervous about how using it was going to turn out. I looked around for some tutorials before, and then you posted this, no doubth the best one I've seen so far. I feel more confident I'll get it right now ^^.

Thank you so much for this video! Very informative and thorough. ITA about the Konad metallic polishes, I bought the gold and stamped it on a very light background and it hardly showed up at all!

  14. Jess says:

This was super helpful, thank you! I've always had issues with topcoat smearing my designs; I guess they just weren't dry enough!

One thing I thought I'd mention is that rather than putting polish all over the design, I prefer painting just one side of it, then scraping the polish across the rest of the design so it gets completely covered. That wastes less product :D

  15. Very helpful! I had gotten the hang of it a while back, but needed a refresher course - I was trying so hard to make a Konadicure work and it just wasn't happening! Thanks to your vid I remember the best way to do it! Haha. I think my problem was rolling the stamper on the image, rather than just pushing down like you do. It worked today!

That's so nice of you to take the time and do this tutorial for us Asami :) I got my first Konad kit/plate maybe two and a half weeks ago and I love it! Your tips really helped me in this video - esp the part on the silver/gold konad polishes, to replace the metal scrapper with an old plastic card (so I don't scratch my plates!), and selective stamping. Many thanks!!

  17. extremely helpful! best tutorial ever!! xxx

  18. Bippy says:

Thank you so much for posting this great tutorial!!

I haven't used my konad in a long time! :P I like your method of cleaning up and stamping! :) Made me realize the way I was doing it was very messy and slow haha!
You always have really great tutorials, Asami! :3

Oh and you know, I went to Daiso and was trying to find some nail gems but they didn't have too great of a selection this time. :( I'll probably have to wait for a while until they stock up on more nail stuff! :p

  20. Excellent video. While I have been konading for a while now, it's still great to see other people's techniques and find ways to improve my routine. I always rolled the stamper onto the plate to pick up the image - I will try stamping it firmly and directly next time.

Success! I re-tried Konad. You are definitely right - need to use an opaque polish and don't rock when picking up the stamp. I found my ChG holo worked well. Thanks so much!! Ariana from Chicago

  22. Arzo says:

    Heej
my nails are almost like yours and when people see them they think that it is not my real nails. does it happen you and would you like it?

  23. Asami says:

Arzo, I do occasionally get asked if my nails are fake when they're in a long stage. Just try your best to take it as a compliment; they don't normally see such strong and healthy natural nails! :-)

  24. Asami says:

Thank you guys so much! I'm absolutely thrilled that this video ended up being so helpful. I'm really glad I made it now. Love you guys!

  25. Thresa says:

Hi Asami, very nice video tutorial. I am wondering if I can get your permission to include your tutorial on my website as we'll have a few stamping supplies in our store soon so our reader can see it also.

  26. Hi Asami,

One of my buyers sent me a link to your website because I told her I sort of gave up on Konad stamping. I just couldn't do it right, even after having watched so many tutorials.

After watching your tips & tricks, I actually tried it out this evening. Your tips do really work!!!

I'm using Elianto Twilight Zone (it's black) as base and Konad's white as the stamp. Used M57 Zebra print. However, after applying a top coat (Essie Good To Go), the Konad white stamp turned into gray!! I've no idea why but it does look nicer though. :P No complaints here.

    Thanks!!!

Wow! Stumbled across your blog and I have to say your nail art is amazing! This video has made me want a Konad stamping kit! I just posted an attempt at a freehand leopard print nail on my blog but this looks so much easier! Hopefully they sell them in the UK. xo
